SAP POSITIION CONFIGURATION

1. Create new position
Tcode: PQ13

2. •
New position can be created by action PQ13.
•
SAP provides standard relationships in this action. But one can modify the
action as per their requirements.
•
I have modified the action to save Vacancy infotype, As when the position
is newly created, it must be vacant.

3. •
Validity: Give start date and end date for new Position
•
Click on execute.

4. •
Give object abbreviation (upto 12 characters) and object name (upto 40
characters)
•
Click on save.

5. •
Create relationship A-003 (Belongs to) with Org unit.
•
Select ID of related object by clicking F4 key on ID field.
•
Click enter to display organizational unit Abbreviation and Name.
•
Click on Save to save this relationship.

6. •
Create relationship A-002 (Reports to) with Reporting manager’s position.
•
Select ID of related object by clicking F4 key on ID field.
•
Click enter to display Reporting position Abbreviation and Name.
•
Click on Save to save this relationship.

7. •
Create relationship B-007 (Is described by) with Job.
•
Select ID of related object by clicking F4 key on ID field.
•
Click enter to display Job Abbreviation and Name.
•
Click on Save to save this relationship.

8. •
Create Vacancy for newly created position.
•
Select Open
•
Click on save to save vacancy.
