Green Infrastructure Benchmark
We are… working closely with Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust
to develop a green infrastructure benchmark
The benchmark will… help developers and planners define
“what good looks like” and how it can be achieved
Wild Service will… work with developers to deliver high
quality green infrastructure at each stage of the
development process

“Green infrastructure is often a complex and time-consuming element of large projects and
getting it right can mean the difference between a smooth passage through the planning
system and costly delays.
Whether your development scheme is large or small, your approach to green infrastructure
may help secure planning approval. We work with you to demonstrate how you have
considered local priorities for wildlife, water management and wellbeing of residents.
We have the skills and understanding to help you make sense of the different aspects of green
infrastructure – relating to wildlife, people, and the wider landscape – and support you to
deliver a project which is both environmentally-sensitive and cost-sensitive.”

There were a lot of good things about Bristol that made us European Green Capital, but there were still a lot of things that we needed to work on.
