Information and communication technology has made it possible for students to connect with others around the world in a matter of minutes. Cultural
competence teaches students to be sensitive to and respectful of others' cultures and values. Developing an appreciation for diversity is necessary for
becoming global citizens. Moving students forward into global citizenship happens when we provide opportunities for authentic global collaboration.
Such international collaboration gives students a chance to become global citizens. They learn cultural competence and leadership skills with students
from around the world. P21, the Partnership for 21st Century Learning has issued the Framework for State Action on Global Education. This

acknowledged. he states that because of the separation in class, women were now more controlled by men of the ruling class, giving a divide and
gender oppression between the sexes as well as between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. The men would be paid to go out to work but yet the

Reflection On Teacher Inquiry
As a learning support teacher and special educator, I find that I am continuously asking myself questions about my teaching and what is best for my
students. I spend a great deal of time reflecting on how I can improve and change my practice and how I can best meet the needs of my students. From
many of these reflections come questions and wonderings that often require deeper understanding and focus. Finding answers or possible solutions to
these wonderings takes time if changes are truly going to be implemented. In fact, Dana and Yendol–Hoppey (2009) suggest, "As teachers seek out
change and reflect on practice, the first step of their journey begins with brainstorming questions or wonderings for exploration" (pg.20). One way to
find answers to these wonderings is through problem–based action research and teacher inquiry. Problem–based action research and teacher inquiry
allows educators to focus on specific wonderings and can ultimately provide educators with the information to make a difference in the classrooms and
