2. One sunny day a boy called Carlos found a treasure map by
the very deep well. He picked it up and looked at it. He
really wanted to find that treasure for his family because
his family thought he was a very big scaredy cat.
3. First the treasure map showed that he must sail across the
very dangerous sea. So he went to get a boat. It was a
really small one. He sailed for hours and hours.
4. Then suddenly a giant sea monster popped up. It was green.
Carlos was very scared. He couldn’t jump out because he
was terrified of water.
5. Carlos jumped to the front of the boat because the monster was
eating the boat. So Carlos had to jump in. He held his breath and
jumped in the freezing cold water. The monster ate the boat
and then he swam away. Carlos popped up and screamed ,”I don’t
like water!” Carlos had to swim to the island.
6. Lucky for him, he wasn’t so far from the island. He finally
got to the island. Then the map showed that he must climb
the biggest mountain. So Carlos went to the mountains. He
saw the biggest mountain and started to climb the biggest
mountain.
7. When he was half way up the mountain he got a little
hungry, but he knew he mustn’t give up. He carried on
climbing up the very tall mountain. He finally got closer and
closer and then he reached the top.
8. Carlos was very, very tired. He got some water out of his
bag. He nearly drank the whole thing. Then the map said to
find a very big cave. Carlos found it he went in and then
jumped out because a huge cave monster was in the cave.
The monster ran out and chased Carlos.
9. Carlos ran and ran until the monster got tired. The monster
fell off the mountain because he fainted. Carlos ran all the
way back up the mountain. He found the cave and he went
inside.
10. His face lit up because all around him were pretty jewels
and bright golden chains. He found a empty treasure chest.
He filled it up with all the pretty jewels and golden chains.
11. He carried the chest down the mountain. Suddenly a huge
T-Rex came. Carlos ran for the freezing cold water. He
jumped in and kept his head under until the T-Rex was
gone.
12. He swam and swam until he made it home. He showed his
family the treasure and they were no longer poor. They
thought Carlos was brave because of his great adventure.
