WINMAR® Nanaimo
Receives Significant Recognition
As the insurance industry changes gears to more focus on
efficiencies and time sensitive milestones so must the way we as
contractors adjust to the demands of effective file management in
order to stay ahead of the competition. WINMAR® Nanaimo has
succeeded and surpassed competitors in their market and have
received recognition by Contractor Connection with a
“Performance Excellence Award” describing them as a “Quality
Focussed and Performance Driven” company. Presented to
representatives from WINMAR® Corporate during their 2015
conference in Florida, Contractor Connection ensured to mention
that Howard Shillito, Owner of WINMAR® Nanaimo (recently
rebranded from Acclaim Restorations) was missed during the
formal presentation and wish to congratulate him on his
excellence.
So how exactly did they do it?
Simply stated, Howard stresses the importance of customer focus and keeping up with administration.
“There is a standard of excellence that I like to maintain for customer service and because of this
standard I enforce in my staff, they carry it through – treating each claim as though it’s their own”. As
Howard reminisces how it seems the importance of excellent customer service has been lost in today’s
busy world, his main goal is to ensure his staff are aware of the importance of caring for the homeowner
– the customer – and it is their needs that should be considered, empathized with and managed in a way
that the customer ultimately feels their claim is important.
Howard credits the implementation of their management systems to project manager, Chris Shillito, for
spearheading the client relationship with Contractor Connection as well as the hard work by all of his
staff that went into learning and
adopting the program. It is a
collaborative, team effort that
works only if everyone is onboard,
from technicians to management,
to follow through on ensuring the
system is working within the office
and field environment. “With
acceptance of this change in file
management and implementation
of the program, it forces us to do
better and holds us accountable to
maintain our POMs.”
