Miles Ingwers, Ph.D.
• Dr. Ingwers has a strong interdisciplinary background in plant
breeding, genetics, and physiology.
• His academic credentials include a Ph.D. emphasizing both plant
physiology and genetics (University of Georgia), postdoctoral
research in plant breeding, and a bachelor’s degree in genetics
and plant biology (University of California, Berkeley).
• Dr. Ingwers has an extensive research background in agriculture,
plant genetic improvement, plant stress tolerance, and data
analytics. In the past, he has worked with pine, soybean, corn,
and wheat.
• His work has resulted in numerous peer-reviewed scientific
papers in top international journals.
• Prior to moving into the hemp space with American Hemp
Ventures, Dr. Ingwers led the Validation Team, as a Crop Scientist
