Vintage Pictures
• Hlin established the film production company Vintage Pictures with Birgitta Björnsdóttir
in 2011. The company will release The Swan (feature), written and directed by Ása Helga
Hjörleifsdóttir in 2017 (Icelandic-German-Estonian coproduction). Vintage Pictures
released two feature films in 2016 A Reykjavik Porno and Pale Star (Scottish
coproductions) both written and directed by Graeme Maley and premiered at Edinburgh
Film Festival. In 2015 VP released Sixteen Years til Summer, documentary by Lou
McLaughlan which premiered in Nyon.The company produced Love Story (2012 – short)
by Ása Helga Hjörleifsdóttir, This is Sanlitun (2013 – feature) by Robert Douglas and
coproduced two independent American feature films Land Ho! (2013) and Bokeh (2014),
serviced a Switzerland feature film Welcome to Iceland (2014) and a Belgian short film
The Hidden Part (2014). Amongst films in development are the documentary Quicksand
and the fiction features Vergo, Tears, smiles and football boots and futuristic, sci-fi
adventure film, Protos.

2. 2011 - Present
Ursus Parvus
• Founder and producer at Ursus Parvus, cultural procuction house with Vilborg
Einarsdóttir. Ursus Parvus coproduced the cultural event of the year 2014 designated by
Nordisk Kulturfond, called Nordisk Ljus 2014. Ursus Parvus has various projects ongoing,
focusing on the North Atlantic and Arctic – most prominent is the extensive web
magazine JoNAA (information on: jonamagazine.com) which will be launched in 2017. UP
is developing a TV series about teenagers living in Northern Norway, a photography book
made in East-Greenland and other projects are in the pipelines.
