1. Profile of Veteran Hotelier Hiran Serasinghe
Veteran hotelier HiranSerasinghe, counts over fourty-yearsof experience, in
managing international Star Classified Hotels, including the Ramada
Renaissance Colombo now the Cinnamon lakeside Hotel and Lanka Oberoi,
now the Cinnamon Grand Hotel.
He holds the distinction of being the first Sri Lankan to be appointed as a General
Manager of a five-star hotel in Sri Lanka managed by an international hotel chain-
RamadaRenaissanceColombo.
He has since served, as a Consultant to several leading and small time
Companies, involved in the hospitality industry.
At present, he functions as-
 Independent Hotel Management Consultant, for all types and grades of
hotels.
 Member of the Hotel Classification Committee, appointed by the
Tourism Development Authority of Sri Lanka, to inspect and
recommend hotels, for star rating in Sri Lanka.
 Member of the panel of Judges appointed by the Sri Lanka Tourism
Development Authority (SLTDA) for the Annual Tourism Awards
 Member of the international panel of Judges at the prestigious bi-annual
Culinary Art Competition Salon Culinaire, which is Sri Lanka’s largest
food industry competition and exhibition.
