10. ENTREPRENEURSHIP IS LIVING
A FEW YEARS OF YOUR LIFE
LIKE MOST PEOPLE WON’T, SO
THAT YOU CAN SPEND THE
REST OF YOUR LIFE LIKE MOST
PEOPLE CAN’T.
Editor's Notes
Even as one of the most widely discussed topics in business, academics, and society in general, leadership seems to defy easy definition, perhaps because it is best known by its results.
As one of the President of the United States put it best-
If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.
Gary Burnison, is the CEO of a cousulting firm which specialises in leadership counsulting. I was reading his article the other day. He interviewed some of the top leaders ranging from the president of a sovereign nation to global Fortune 500 CEOs to the richest man in the world. He summed up that Listening and Learning are the building blocks fr a successful leader.

Teachers not there to make your life hell. They are people + get to know them better

Hearing is the natural gift most of us are blessed with, but listening is a skill
Just take this example…when in a conversation if you are looking sideways…upwards…checking time etc etc show that u r just listening.
Most of you are really not listening to what i am saying right now. Everything you are "hearing" is becoming an interpretation. Scientific studies say that unless you stop concluding on what is going into your ear you wont listen. All u will do is hear.
Many a times we get into a conflict with a friend or a co-worker. When we are in that situation arguing, most of us are busy formulating our response to win the argument instead of paying attention to what they are saying.
Listening is something that we learn from experience and trust me it is tough to master this skill!
How to start developing this skill?
