Local Advocacy in Action
NAHB supported the North Carolina HBA in its efforts to enact a cost-saving property tax
rule, HB 168, Exempt Builders’ Inventory. The legislation exempts from local property tax im-
provements to land being developed for residential purposes as well as the construction of
single-family and duplex dwellings being offered for sale.
