2. A Banks is a financial insitution where

4. Scheduledbank :- Scheduled banks are banks that
are listed in the 2nd schedule of the Reserve
Bank of India Act, 1934. The bank's paid-up
capital and raised funds must be at least Rs5
lakh to qualify as a scheduled bank.
Non scheduledbank :- Non-scheduled banks by
definition are those which are not listed in the
2nd schedule of the RBI act, 1934. Banks with
a reserve capital of less than 5 lakh rupees
qualify as non-scheduled banks.
5. Public sector bank:- Public sector banks are those
banks where the government holds more than
50% ownership.
Private sector bank:- Private Sector Banks are the
banks whose majority of stake is held by private
corporations or individuals.
Cooperative bank:- ooperative Banks in India
are financial entities which are under the
belonging of its own members who are at the
same time the owner and customers which has
been registered under the state cooperative

Foreign banks:- Foreign banks are defined as
banks from a foreign country working in India
through branches. RBI has provided rules and
guidelines for a foreign bank to establish and
operate in India.
7. Commercial bank:- commercial bank refers
to a financial institution that accepts deposits,
offers checking account services, makes various
loans, and offers basic financial products like
certificates of deposit (CDs) and savings
accounts to individuals and small businesses.
8. Industrial bank:-Industrial banks sell investment
certificates, debentures and shares for the
purpose of investment. Because of its role as an
investment bank, its main function is to
provide facilities for people to invest in
debentures and shares.
Agricultural bank:-
A type of bank that lends money to farmers fo
r longer periods of time and charges them
less interest than other types of banks.
9. EXCHANGE BANK:-Foreign exchange
refers to exchanging the currency of one
country for another at prevailing exchange
rates.
Central bank:-a national bank that provides
financial and banking services for its country's
government and commercial banking system,
as well as implementing the government's
monetary policy and issuing currency.
