3. WHAT IS PSR
PSR allows a user to walk through the steps to recreate a
problem and create a screen capture complete with
annotations
Everything is stored in an MHTML file that can step
through
The end result is what that user sees and have a visual
record of their problem and steps to reproduce it

Easy to use

The PSR's view is the user's desktop, it is not isolated to a
single application

The PSR will not record anything that user type while
recording, but the "Add Comment" feature can be used as
a substitution
Available only in Windows 8 & 7 but there is a free
download available on TechNet that does the same thing
Default the PSR only captures 25 screen shots, but can
increase this value using Settings.

PSR can used to record the steps to reproduce an error.
When a tester requires extra effort to document the steps
to reproduce any problems uncovered they can easily use
PSR.
PSR captures the steps performed by the user on an
application;
 As a set of screen shots with a text description of where
they clicked.
The capture can be saved as a file that can be used to
reproduce and troubleshoot the problem.

guide or manual. This tool brings creating manuals to the
new level.

Imago Recorder - Imago Recorder can record the
activities of the system operations. A simple tool that can
record the system activity, which enables report content to
be saved for later recall and review by a third person

publish a html webpage with them online using Dropbox.

9. DEMO
Click the "Start Record" button.
Perform the steps to reproduce the problem.
Click the "Stop Record" button when finished.
The "Save as..." dialog is opened to enter the file name,
which is saved as a .ZIP file.
Click the down arrow key on the far-right select "Send
to E-mail recipient...".
Click "Add Comment" select the part of the screen that
want to comment on type comments in the comment box
click OK.
