7.1 Kebarangkalian suatu peristiwa
1- Sebuah kotak mengandungi sepuluh biji bola yang ditanda
dengan huruf M, O, N, I, T, O, R, I, N, G.
A box contains ten ball marked with letter M, O, N, I, T, O, R,
I, N, G.
a) Sebiji bola dipilih secara rawak daripada kotak itu. Cari
kebarangkalian memilih sebiji bola dengan huruf O.
A ball is picked at random from the jar. Find the
probability of picking a ball with letter O.
b) Tiga biji bola yang ditanda dengan huruf B dimasukkan
dalam kotak itu. Jika sebiji bola dipilih secara rawak,
cari kebarangkalian memilih bola dengan huruf
konsonan.
Three balls marked with letter B are added in the box. If
a ball is picked at random, find the probability of picking
a ball with a consonant.

2- Satu kumpulan terdiri daripada 55 orang pelajar lelaki dan
perempuan.
A group consists of 55 male and female students.
a) Jika seorang pelajar secara rawak daripada kumpulan
itu, kebarangkalian memilih seorang pelajar perempuan
ialah . Cari bilangan murid perempuan.
If a student is selected at random from the group, the
probability of selecting a female student is . Find
number of female students.
b) 6 pelajar lelaki dan 12 pelajar perempuan menyertai
kumpulan tersebut. Seorang pelajar secara rawak
daripada kumpulan itu. Cari kebarangkalian memilih
pelajar lelaki.

3- Satu nombor dipilih secara rawak daripada set y: 1<y<50.
Cari kebarangkalian bahawa nombor yang dipilih ialah
A number is selected randomly from the set y: 1<y<50. Find
the probability that the number picked is
a) satu gandaan bagi 4 atau 5
a multiple of 4 or 5
b) mempunyai digit 3 dan 4
has digits 4 and 5
4- Rajah menunjukkan tujuh keeping kad yang berlabel dengan
huruf.

Semua kad dimasukkan dalam sebuah balang. Satu kod dua
