- 4. About ‘Dastaras’ Kyu k Ap ehm hain 4 What is Dastaras? Mission Dastaras is a non profit organization established in May 2022 by Amal students. Dastaras work for the rights of helpless people with disabilities to make life accessible for them. - 5. Objectives of Dastaras 5 01 To promote and provide financial, educational, health and social aid and support for them. Social Aid 02 To provide manual wheelchairs in less resourced settings. Manual Wheelchair 03 To facilitate access of opportunities and services for persons with disabilities. Facilitation 06 To raise awareness about persons with disabilities. Awareness 05 To build the capacity of institutions and persons with disabilities. Capacity Building 04 To advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities. Advocating Rights
- 6. Gap Filled 6 01 03 04 02 Providing mobility i.e., improving the physical health and quality of life. Place should provide a person with wheelchair i.e., Difficult to carry wheelchair all the time if travelling in personal car. Unavailability of Wheel Chairs at Public Places i.e., Parks, outside shopping malls, banks. Inclusion i.e., this issue can help in including the disabled individual to be a part of community.

Highest in Punjab 147,539 people. Disability Status Employer does not treat them properly. Discriminated at workplace. Percentage has gone down from 2.43%. Out of Total Population
