Hamilton
Honda
will
be
supporting
a
local
high
school’s
annual
fundraising
initiative
and
is
encouraging
its
neighbors
to
join
its
efforts.
The
dealership,
founded
by
former
New
York
Giants
Pro-‐Bowl
linebacker
Jessie
Armstead
and
automotive
veteran
Mike
Saporito,
will
be
providing
the
t-‐shirts
for
Notre
Dame
High
School’s
annual
Polar
Plunge
on
Sunday,
Jan.
12,
at
1
p.m.
at
McLoone’s
Pier
House
in
Long
Branch.
The
event
will
feature
the
school’s
students,
faculty
and
alumni
jumping
into
the
Atlantic
Ocean
off
the
New
Jersey
coast,
where
the
January
water
temperature
is
in
the
low-‐30
degrees.
All
proceeds
from
the
event
support
the
Jean
McGraw
Emergency
Tuition
Assistance
Fund,
which
is
available
for
students
whose
families
experience
a
crisis,
causing
a
financial
hardship
that
prevents
them
from
fulfilling
their
financial
obligations
to
the
school.
The
fund
is
named
in
honor
of
Mrs.
Jean
McGraw,
beloved
Social
Studies
teacher,
who
retired
in
2012.
“This
fun
event
supports
a
great
cause,
and
we’re
happy
to
a
great
institution
in
the
community
like
Notre
Dame
High
School,”
Saporito
said.
Throughout
the
year,
Hamilton
Honda
provides
its
support
to
various
local
causes.
In
2013,
Armstead
and
Saporito
received
honorary
lifetime
membership
to
the
Police
Benevolent
Association
(PBA)
Local
66
for
their
charitable
work
in
the
community
and
support
of
the
local
police
department.
Additionally,
Armstead
received
the
Man
of
the
Year
Award
at
the
2013
New
York
Giants
Big
Blue
BBQ.
