Introduction
The Technical Seminar aims to provide training on the draft Construction Industry Council (CIC) Building
Information Modelling (BIM) Standards (Phase One). The Technical Seminar will be conducted according to
the aforesaid session themes with respect of different sectors/ disciplines of the construction industry. The
Technical Seminar will cover:
 how project clients could use this draft CIC BIM Standards (Phase One) on a project;
 requirements for architects, engineers, quantity surveyors or others during design stage;
 requirements for contractors, sub-contractors or others during construction stage.
This draft CIC BIM Standards (Phase One) includes the following four sections:
1) Project Execution Plan (PXP);
2) Modelling Methodology;
3) Level of Development (LOD);
4) Component Presentation Style and Data Organisation.
Terms and Conditions
1. The Technical Seminar will be conducted in English.
2. Copies of the draft CIC BIM Standards (Phase One) could be obtained at www.hkcic.org.
3. It is suggested that participation in the Technical Seminar counts for 2.5 CPD hours.
4. The CIC reserves the rights to make any changes to the programme and speakers without prior notice.
5. The Technical Seminar will be postponed if the No. 8 typhoon signal or above or black rainstorm warning is hoisted 3 hours before the
Technical Seminar. The CIC will inform the participants by email for any new arrangement subsequently, if any.
6. Registration will be processed on a “first-come-first-serve” basis. The organiser reserves the right for final decision. Confirmation email
will be sent to the successful registrants in due course.
