2. Cagbalete is an island off the east coast
of Luzon, Philippines on Lamon Bay. It
is part of Quezon Province and
administered by the municipality of
Mauban.
Cagbalete Island is known for its cerulean
blue waters, pristine beaches, and powder-
white sandbars said to rival those of Boracay
and El Nido

3. The historical marker installed by the National
Historical Institute on the Rizal Monument at
Rizal Hill Park, Mauban, Quezon, which was
built in 1925.
Rizal Hill Park Ng Mauban
This is a good place to consider visiting if
you’d like to see the Rizal monument and a
wide view of Mauban, to have some fresh
air, and to see different labeled plants on
the way up. If you don’t want to pressure
your knees, you can walk along the hill’s
outer areas instead of taking the long,
straight stairway midway.
4. Mauban Seawall / Gat-uban park
He was respected by folks who affectionately called him Gat
Uban and later on Mauban, from which the town’s name was
taken. A bronze monument stands proudly at the town’s
seawall promenade to immortalize his exploits.
For a quick glimpse into the town, the Museo ng Mauban is a
must-visit, giving visitors an overview of the local history.
The community museum is among the few well-maintained
repositories in the province that serve as a showpiece of local
heritage.
Mauban also takes pride in its Rizal Monument situated at a
100-foot promontory at Calvario Hill, the highest monument
in honor of the national hero.

5. 1725 Public Bath
1725 Public Bath. This public bath was
built for the people of Mauban where they
can wash dishes and clothes for free.
However, it was closed for public use to
preserve the establishment.
6. Old Houses
There are some colonial structures carefully preserved in
Mauban. You can also take a visit to Fr. Horacio de la
Costa’s ancestral house containing his collections and
memorabilia in good condition.
7. Municipal Building.
Two of the 8 historical cannons were
permanently placed in Mauban’s Municipal
Building. Those were gifts from Spanish
government in 1798 to the people of Mauban
for saving two of its friars from Moro
captivity. These cannons were also used to
fight against the Spaniards after 100 years.
