A SET OF BASIC, CROSS-COMMUNITY SERVICES ARE HORIZONTALLY USED BY ALL STAKEHOLDERS PHYSICAL INFRASTRUCTURE (COMPUTATIONAL AND STORAGE RESOURCES) ARE SHARED AND ACCESSIBLE TO MULTIPLE ORGANIZATIONS MORE INTRICATE OPERATIONS, THOUGH COMMON, ARE SERVED BY DISJOINT SERVICES, EVEN WITHIN THE SAME COMMUNITIES INTEGRATION AND SHARING OF SUCH SERVICES IS PERFORMED AT A GENERIC LEVEL, LEAVING MORE COMPLEX FUNCTIONALITY OUTSIDE THE SHARED BASEGROUND

EXTEND THE SET OF HORIZONTAL SERVICES TO INCLUDE TECHNOLOGIES ALREADY MATURE IN THE CONTEXT OF DIFFERENT COMMUNITIES THAT CAN BE USED WITHIN DIFFERENT DOMAINS OPTIMIZE THE USAGE OF SHARED PHYSICAL INFRASTRUCTURE FOR EACH COMMUNITY / COMPUTATIONAL TASK PROVIDE THE MEANS TO EASILY CUSTOMIZE AND CONFIGURE THE HORIZONTAL SERVICES TO FULLY ACCOMMODATE THE NEEDS OF A SPECIFIC COMMUNITY SEAMLESSLY INCORPORATE NEW SERVICES AND TECHNOLOGIES TO THE BIG PICTURE
