2016 October - today: Manager, Finance and Credit BI.
 Responsibilities include reporting and analyzing financial results for the small/medium companies
segment. Major focus is on credit indicators, leading to policies and products decisions.
 Customization of credit models and financial reports to the IFRS9 international rules.
 Responsible for drawing up budget and reporting bankruptcy indicators of internal and market
(competitors) portfolios. Participate in all segment decisions that involve credit losses, risk appetite, or
cost change.
 Main challenges in BI are: attach those portfolios to the new datawarehouse structure, concerning big
data processing via Hadoop, and visualization via Tableau; non-structure data usage in modelling and
triggering; teamwork with new digital companies from the Cubo, a coworking startup network
sponsored by Itaú.
2011-2016: Manager, Colletions Policy.
 Responsibilities included defining and implementing collections strategies for the retail business.
 Analytical skills to divide the whole portfolio into clusters to:
- maximize cost efficiency
- target the right pricing
- choose the right channel to access customers
 Ability to negotiate and develop internal and external channels such as bank branches, call center
partners and information bureaux.
 External channels incentives re-egineering, based on key operational levers; all channels aligned with
P&L culture.
 Creation of new digital channels (Mobile, Internet, Chat, Interactive voice response).
 Development of new renegotiation products together with IT Area.
 Major results for the company P&L. In this period, collections performance and efficiency more than
doubled. Operations are benchmark in the Brazilian market.
2009-2010: Manager, Credit Risk.
 Structured a department responsible for evaluating credit risk policies for the retail business. Focused
on personal loans, credit cards and car loans.
 Evaluation of credit, collections and income models.
 Optimization of credit and collections policies, including pricing.
 MIS focused on value creation, by generating revenues and reducing losses and capital allocation.
2007-2008: Manager, Business Intelligence, Credit and Collections.
 Structured a BI area, focusing on major business segments: retail, small business, consumer credit and
credit cards.
 Bankruptcy control of internal and market portfolios. Analysis of recovery and collections costs,
managerial and accounting budgets of bank major portfolios, participation in Basel and RAROC (Risk–
Ajusted Return on Capital) projects, developing LGD (Loss Given Default) indicators, studies of default
portfolios, pricing of distressed assets, NPL (Non Performing Loan) sale coordination.
 Project management: behavior e collections scores, information standardization among credit areas.
2004-2006: Senior analyst to Manager, Consumer Credit.
 Structured a MIS area to Financeira Taií. Designed technological solutions and recruited a qualified
team in order to plan and control financial, commercial, credit and collections performance.
 Phase 1 – financial BI – generated the business plan to a start up business, planned budget and controlled
financial performance. Interaction and presentations to high organizational levels (bank and partners).
Phase 2 – sales and product BI – evaluated commercial efficiency. Phase 3 – credit and collections BI.
2000-2003: Junior analyst to Senior analyst, Commercial Planning.
 Analyzed branches through a strategic view: competitiveness x attractiveness. Evaluated market share
of bank products, designed commercial campaigns and incentive programs to retail segments,
developed and monitored a balanced scorecard model to legal entity segments (small, medium and
corporate), participated in projects of strategic importance (bank acquisitions, consumer credit start up)
and was responsible for part of the annual report information.
1999-2000: Prior positions:
 Banco Itaú S/A – Asset Management (1999-2000) – Evaluated performance of funds quota. Focus on
legal entity segment (medium and corporate).
 Título Corretora de Valores (1999) – Conducted studies to recommend the buy or sale of stocks
negotiated at Bovespa’s Stock Exchange.
