1. Parrot Pitas
A fast and nutritious treat, great for foraging too! Mix it up with
your Fid’s favorite foods.
Ingredients:
Whole wheat mini pita pockets
Grated carrot
Diced red pepper
Greens such as kale, Swiss chard or spinach, chopped
Brown rice, quinoa or couscous, whatever your bird prefers
Directions:
Cut a small opening in each pita pocket so you can fill it
Mix the ingredients together in a bowl
Stuff each pita with enough of the veggie mix to fill it
Serve immediately
