EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
World-wide for the people above the age of 60, the two most essential requirements are –
1. Healthcare – Medicinal and caring support
2. Emotional well-being – feeling part of group (sharing) and family (where applicable)
The project’s aim is to provide a better quality of life for its target audience, by covering the above two key
requirements, well.
When the above two requirements are met properly, it is inevitable for an individual to realise that in their
current phase of life, they are free from all responsibilities and possess an incredible opportunity to make the
most of time and experience they have at hand, hence ‘The Golden Retreat’.
Beyond the scope of the individual, putting back this age group of people in fully functional mode will
provide wider society with –
• An extremely talented and experienced pool of people, with an ability to help without a hefty price
tag
• Mentors for someone starting a new professional life to someone entering a new phase of their
professional career like becoming a CEO
“When grace is joined with wrinkles, it is adorable. There is an unspeakable dawn in happy
old age.”
Victor Hugo
Living Standards
A life full surrounded by like minded people with a full schedule of social activities, meditation, physical
activities (depending on ability), learning new skills, international travel and pure fun, is intended for all
members of the retreat.
A quality of life so desirable that even individuals who can afford to pay for such a life on their own, will
choose retreat, simply because it can offer more than what money can buy.

Investment Sources
The launch of project relies on initial seed funding and while it is expected that majority of it will be covered
by Mr. Vaidya from his lifelong savings, it is expected that key aspects of the project will be shared among a
carefully selected group of individuals in India and abroad, providing them with an option to invest.
Investment will be accepted both on grounds of charity or as a joining fee into the retreat.
Regular Income
Outside of the initial investment, the running cost of the project will be maintained by several income sources,
key ones being listed below –
• Joining fee
• Residence fee
• Professional services income (provided by the retreat to business / consumers)
• Estate transfer - it is expected that the project will provide such an extra ordinary value to the
members that in longer run, people joining or leaving the retreat for a new life will transfer their
estate to the project (as seen with various projects in the past such as Osho)

Financial risks
Where possible all the financial risks will be covered by insurance and where possible the insurance policy
will be put in place, early in the life, providing the insurance companies a good business value and project a
financial stability it needs.
Measures of success
The project will be deemed successful when –
• Happiness levels of the members measured in NPS are above a set target
• All members live longer than average age of the country
• % active time per person
• Size of waiting list for people wanting to join the retreat
The above measures of success will be revised regularly in consultation with the members.
