Kolasin
For several decades Kolasin has positioned itself as an ideal destination, not only because of what town has
to offer, the environment, the natural beauty of mountains, rivers and lakes, the altitude of 960 metres, but
also because of its geographical and traffic position.
Just and hour’s drive from Podgorica makes a world of difference climate here is much colder while the

and Kljuc, with altitude of 1.973 meters, whatever road you take, you will see beautiful landscapes,
mountain springs, sights of mountains Bjelasica, Prokletije, Komovi and Sinjajevina.
A visit to Kolasin would be incomplete without experiencing Biogradska Gora, one of the three surviving
virgin forests in Europe, located near Kolasin, at an altitude of 1.094 m, with one of its beautiful lakes - Lake

Mojkovac

you, be hospitable and friendly. Mojkovac is was founded during the reign of Serbian King Uros I (1242 -
1276) in the center of the parish Brskovo, which was part of the Serbian Kingdom of Raska. It is said that the
name Mojkovac was created by merging the word „my minted coins“ spoken by King Uros in the mine
Brskovo. In the middle of the twentieth century Mojkovac was one of the major industrial centres of
Montenegro. Today, because of the great natural resources, agriculture and tourism have been identified as
a new priority sectors for the development of Mojkovac.
The greatest natural wealth of the municipality Mojkovac is a beautiful European river Tara, which poets
called „Tear of Europe“. It is the longest river in Montenegro - 150 km, with clean and potable water at the
entire course, with a lot of waterfalls and the other natural attractions.
