2. Profile
Starting my career in the demanding Icelandic fishing industry learning the job from the
bottom up has given me good engineering skills and understanding of all the operations
of a commercial ship. I have been working ashore both as a refrigeration specialist and
service agent, installing and overhauling both AC and refrigeration systems.
Working as a thickness measurements instructor and ship surveyor gave me good
understanding of the ships Class certification.
I see myself as a motivated and confident engineer looking forward to gain more
experience.

6 year In Non Destructive Testing for AFLVIS. Measuring and surveying ships, oiltanks,
and for the drilling industry. Methods used was Ultrasonic Testing Measurement (UT)
Level 1 & 2. Penetrate (PT) and Magnetic flux (MT).
Service specialist for refrigeration company, FROST. The job included Installation and
maintenance work of AC, cooling and freezing systems. I was a team leader installing
and running up freezing system in Russia/Murmansk, about 2 months of work, planning,
welding, adjustments and start up.
