1. Why use Goal Setting?
[AIESEC in Bolivia] Goal Setting Wiki
2. "A survey at Yale University was conducted asking
students if they had 5 years goals. 50% of the students had
5 year goals. However, only 3% had written their goals. 30
years later the researchers followed up with the students
surveyed. They found that the 3% who had written their
goals down were more successful in relationships, had
more successful career and has a greater net worth than
the other 97% combined. Writing down your goals do
make all the difference."
3. Goal setting is a very
important process to
clear perspectives of
our actions and focus
in life and so lead our
lives, taking the best
decisions.
4. Trough it, it’s easier to
understand how AIESEC
can be effective in our life
plans. It’s a way for our
members to be able to
identify specifically how
and when AIESEC will help
on his/her learning goals.
5. Through Goal Setting we can:
• Create a link between AIESEC and Personal Goals
• Assess member’s goals
• Get information for pipeline management, allocation and
HR plan
• Improve the @XP and team management
• Help other TM processes: talent planning, talent coaching,
mentorship, succession planning.
6. Through Goal Setting we can:
Help members in:
• Making better decisions • Develop and improve
• Checking learning process competencies
• Time management • Motivation: “if I know
• Get to know yourself where I’m going I value the
path”
• Identify weaknesses and
strengths
7. “Planning is not about future decision
making, is about achieved results in the
future by decision making in the
present.”
Peter Drucker
