2. INTRODUCTION
 For more than four years, Gerald Mayfield oversaw three
corrugated manufacturing facilities as a regional
production manager with Norampac. In addition to his
professional pursuits, Gerald Mayfield supports animal
rights organizations, including United Yorkie Rescue.
United Yorkie Rescue is a nonprofit group that cares for
Yorkshire terriers and Yorkshire terrier mixes in need of
homes in 23 states. With 2015 behind them, United Yorkie
Rescue board members are reflecting on another
successful year assisting stray and abandoned dogs. In
total, the group rescued 196 Yorkies and placed 191 of
them with adoptive families in 2015.

3. UNITED YORKIE RESCUE
 Currently, United Yorkie Rescue is housing 33 dogs,
including five that were surrendered to the group on
December 31st. In addition to Yorkies awaiting
adoption, United Yorkie Rescue is caring for a dozen
dogs as part of its Forever Ours program, which
provides end-of-life care for dogs that are terminally
ill.
Now in its 14th year of operation, United Yorkie
Rescue is seeking volunteers and financial support to
