A Parsons problem is a coding activity where the student must arrange a set of lines to achieve some task, somewhat similar to a word jumble. Parsons problems add interactivity to coding education. They also allow the student to focus on understanding logic flow and data dependencies rather than focusing on naming variables and spelling functions correctly. This presentation includes an example of a Parsons problem based in the R statistical programming language.
