1. Detailed Planning Plan
1) Props
The Props include:
Roses – Most significant prop, the narrative centres around the roses.
Photos
Laptops (in order for Leonie look at James’ online profile)
Car Keys
Picnic Basket and Food
Bubbles
Phone
Diary
Ring (for the engagement scene)
Ring box (for engagement scene)
2) Actors
For our actors we needed people who were:
- Reliable and trustworthy to turn up to filming days
- Strong performing actors/actresses’
- James Humphreys (due to him being available and reliable to show up to
filming. Also Leonie is close friends with him so we will be able to
communicate with him well.)
- Leonie Law (availability and the fact that she was already at the
production meant we would not have to hire another actress. Also as she
is a friend of James she was comfortable with playing a romantic role
alongside him)
3) Location
- We needed locations which would be both effective, accessable and
relative to our narrative.
- 2 bedrooms (George’s house)
- Cheddleton Park (to shoot the picnic scene and the park is likely to be
quiet meaning that filming will not keep being interrupted by
pedestrians.)
- Various roads (to show the journey from the house to the park as the girl
picks up the trail of roses.)
2. 4) Costume / Make Up
- We do not intend to rely heavily on specific uses of make up however
Costume is something we need to consider.
Costumes:
- James – white t shirt and black jacket
- Leonie – dungarees, black crop top, black tights, black heeled boots
- Both of the characters to wear simplistic clothing to continue with our
‘normal situation’ feel of our narrative.
- Our narrative is not abstract and neither is the artist who sang the song.
The song lyrics are quite emotional and raw. We wanted to support the
raw and ‘real’ (down to earth) lyrics with the simplistic and ‘normal’
clothing.
5) Lighting
Our Lighting will be :
- Mostly natural
- However we will have to alter the lighting in order to create nightime
effect in bedroom scene but also to allow the scene to be visible.
- We will achieve this by closing the blinds in the bedroom scene and
turning on a lamp.
-
6) Equipment
List of equipments:
- Tripod (to hold the camera steady ensuring also shots are still and
focused.)
- IPHONE (to complete the filming process, the phone is free to use, easily
portable and simple to work.)
