RepairData
DataMill LLC is happy to announce that “RepairCenter” has been retired and “RepairData” is
here to stay. After much confusion about the difference between the name of our software and
the URL of our domain name, we at DataMill LLC have decided to simplify things. Since we have
an enterprise asset management focus, we strive to make things as simple and comprehensive
as possible. During this transition there may be a few random “RepairCenters” still viewable.
We are in the process of updating all training materials, Help Desk guides, and website from the
old to the new. These sections are where the transition could take the longest. We appreciate
the feedback concerning the confusion and we are striving to eliminate the issue..

Pre-Defined Code
Tables
The Manage code table
screen for some code
tables has been
changed. If the admin
can only activate or
inactivate the values,
the new layout makes
this simple and easy.
Just mark or un‐mark
the checkbox and save.
The most common way is to manage a
configuration from within a maintenance
action. On the MA parts screen, click
"Change the Configuration." This opens
the Configuration Tree screen. When you
click on one of the nodes, you will see a
details pop‐up window that will have a
button: "Manage from MA."
The other method to change a
configuration is to simply do it from the
Configuration Tree screen, without using
an MA. If a user with the needed rights
pulls up the Configuration Tree screen
directly (Not from an MA).
There are now two permissions in the View User Profile that control who can use
these methods.
"Change from Treeview" ‐‐ This enables a user to change a configuration without
using an MA.
"Change from MA" ‐‐ This enables a user to change a configuration from within an
MA.
Making changes to a configuration outside of an MA does NOT create a record of
the change. Best practice is to make changes to a configuration from within an
MA. Managing a configuration outside of an MA should be limited to admins who
might need to make changes that do not need to be documented.
