Gareth Harvey currently reports to me in the position of CRM and Strategy Manager. I have been Gareth's direct manager for
over 18 months and worked closely with Gareth at nbn for over 5 years.
Gareth's strength of character, broad experience, high level of engagement and strategic thinking has contributed
significantly to the success of the group that I currently lead, which today exceeds customer satisfaction, revenue and our
operational level agreements with other parts of the business. Gareth has made a significant contribution specifically to what
is the new developments roll out, which is the delivery of broadband infrastructure to new real estate developments through
partnerships with both federal government and the development industry.
Some of the standout contributions include;
- Setting up a CRM platform used by over 500 users successfully allowing us to manage relationships with over 3500
business to business customers
- Successfully establishing and evolving mature processes that have contributed to over 90% of new property
developments being delivered on time today when just 3 years ago were 90% late
- Leading the IT transformation strategy following a major government policy change this year that has allowed for a billing
capability that will this year earn nbn over $4.5million in revenue at a cost of $600,000.
- Leading systems strategy development and work flow management for the end to end delivery of FTTP infrastructure in
new real estate developments
- Creating performance reporting capability that has been leveraged by the rest of the business as part of a major
organisational review, and finally;
- Playing a pivotal role in nbn's integrated operational plan leading the development of long term forecast models that
have been set as nbn's corporate plan and integrated operational plan to 2022.
Gareth always features heavily through our reward and recognition programs with his peers and senior leaders continually
recognising Gareth for his achievements. Gareth recently was awarded our CEO quarterly award based on revenue
achievement for leading our developer billing strategy. Out of 4000 staff only 60 people are able to receive such an award.
He undertakes a transformational leadership style, thriving on change and being able to successfully navigate across the
business in a highly collaborative methodical manner. He is also strong at holding people to account but also providing
assistance where required to assist others in achieving shared goals. Gareth has continually exceeded expectations at nbn
and his departure will certainly be felt by the organisation. His presence would be invaluable to most organisations and I
would highly recommend Gareth and wish him all the success in his future endeavours.
