• It will also help to write down a list of your duties and responsibilities in each of your roles
as a Nurse in Romanian and then translate them into English and learn these off, the more
you use the English medical language, the more comfortable you’ll get with using it.
• To improve your conversational English, you need to speak this new language every single day to
improve your confidence and fluency. Reading English books, newspapers, magazines, listening
to English radio and watching English programmes on TV (especially medical programmes, eg,
ER, Greys Anatomy, Casualty, 24 hours in A&E, Holby City, etc, all of which you can find online)
will all help you too.
