1. GConnect Rules
The GConnect company believe in people, who act with integrity, produce first quality products, makes effective
collaboration with co-workers and customers and efficient science. We are always working on optimizing our business
processes. We maximize efficient and quality by minimizing bureaucracy in internal politics.
Being honest and direct is how we communicate, always considering respect as the greatest achievable value. We never
miss out on an opportunity to point out the importance of knowledge and education, always supporting our employees if
they look to further strengthen themselves in this area.
We believe that efficiency is key for every company, which can only be achieved through organizing each team thoroughly
and setting the right priorities. Each employee has to be fully aware what is expected of her/him, putting their full attention
to the task at hand. In exchange our company provides an above-average working environment and makes every possible
effort to support our staff, trying to set them for tasks best matching their strengths.
To achieve this goal we have our GConnect Rules, you find below of this document, which should be followed strictly by
everybody.
2. Times
Working time:
5d per week
8h per day + 1h lunch
For lunch time (1 hour between 12:00-14:00) we provide our relax room for using all technical equipment and games
(football, ping pong).
Breaks belong to working time (coffee, smoking, private phone calls, etc.) – 30 min. per day. If breaks are longer during day,
it counts like private, but not working time.
Presence time (EET):
Software development team can start working day at 08:00, 09:00 or at 10:00, but not later than 10:00 and work 8 hours.
Eg.: start at 8:00 can finish at 17:00, or start at 9:00 can finish at 18:00.
Log time:
Everybody must log his time to Jira, at least once at the end of working day, maximum – morning of next day.
Exceptions can only be allowed by CEO.
Absences:
Medical visits (incl. Dentist), therapies must be put to begin or end of working day. This time is not counted as working time.
If employee must be absent, this time should be worked out during current day or till the end of current week maximum. If
weekend is needed for workout this time, it should be agreed with Team leader. For such activities everybody can also take
his personal days, about what must be announced to Team leader and HR immediately when known.
Illness days will be paid 80%.
Maternity: During period of maternity leave, according to law of Ukraine, employee can be registered in the staff of the
organization. Bonus for maternity leave is paid according to discretion of the organization.
Overtime:
Temporary overtime, eg. urgent request of customer, must be accepted by Team leader.
General overtime over longer period, must be accepted by Team leader and HR.
3. Holidays
Period:
All employees have the right of 15 working days of holidays per year and 5 personal days per year. Not more than 10 days
at once.
Personal days – it`s unplanned paid vacation days which everybody announce immediately when known to HR and Team
leader.
Newcomers can have their first holidays after 3 months.
Count of holidays can only be taken in relation to worked time, eg. after 9 months 15 days “earned”.
If not used all holidays in one year, maximum 10 days can be moved to next year.
Vacation days must be asked at least 1 months before they should start. This is to be sure, we can manage holiday
wishes optimal for every employee. We can`t guarantee holiday wishes, but try to find best solution for everybody.
Holidays must be accepted by Team leader and HR.
Salary in holidays:
We pay 100% salary during holidays.
Own cost vacation:
For case if somebody needs more vacation days than provided, this employee can take maximum 10 days per year like
an additional vacation for his own cost.
Exceptions must be allowed by CEO.
Bank Holidays:
Official Ukrainian bank holidays are also official bank holidays for us. In case of a bank holiday is on Thursday, and one
employee wants to have a free Friday for long weekend, we handle it as normal holiday (removed from your vacation
account).
4. Organization
Teams:
We have several teams, each Team has a team leader, which is responsible, for the work of the employee. All questions
according work – where not other defined in this document (eg. Holidays questions) – go through the team leader.
Each team leader has a deputy, which takes the function of the team leader, if the team leader is absent.
Support:
Some people, eg. designer, translator, Testers, are without team leader and work part time for one team. In the time they
work for a team, the team leader is responsible for the work. In time they are not assigned to a team, HR or CEO is
responsible person for any questions.
Communication:
For communication we have our standard systems, which is used by everyone: GConnect-Mail, working Skype account,
SMS, phones. All employees contact information is found in GConnect-Directory.
5. Protection of Data and Commercial Secrets
It is strongly forbidden to use unlicensed software at working PC. Never visit web-resources, which can damage
database/software or open any commercial information.
All data and information constituting a commercial secret of our customers or ourself - technology, any kind of data,
management, finance, salaries etc. – must be kept top secret.
If you get to know, somebody trying to get any information, which related to commercial secret you must report this to your
team leader.
6. GConnect ProjektUse of Infrastructure and Services
Offices, furniture, PC, relax room/kitchen:
All employees should take care about cleanness at working place
Technical Equipment, e-mail, internet, messengers, incl. private phone, sms:
It is strongly forbidden to use our infrastructure for any other purpose than work, eg. downloading movies, huge
bandwidth consuming activities, video streams, etc.
To find such misbehavior we log the internet traffic.
7. GConnect ProjektEducation
Education:
We are happy, if our employees want to expand their skills with additional education. If you are interested in education,
please ask your team leader and/or HR. If the education is accepted by the company, we will make a plan, which includes
using working time and/or taking over expenses for the lessons.
We expect in such cases you stay for longer time. Therefor we have the rule: If employee leaves us before 6 months after
this education, he has to pay 100% back, if he leaves between 6 and 12 months, he has to pay 50% back, and after 12
months will be no pay back necessary anymore.
English lessons:
We provide to all employees 80% paid English lessons. They take place after or before “Presence Time”, defined in A. of
this document. They are not counted as working time.
