6. Multi-Step Process
Our first step is to evaluate and tear down the spindle.This
process includes disassembling and logging each part.
We next chemically clean and geometrically inspect each
component.We check for flaws down to a half micron (.0000019”)
in size.We also perform encoder testing to check for feedback
accuracy.
Our expert staff then machines and dynamically balances the
spindle to stringent tolerances on ultra-precision balancing
machines.
7. Superior Coating
Our unique chrome oxide system delivers a superior coating.. It
offers increased wear resistance, better thermal shock resistance
and improved electrical insulation.
The system melts Rokide® chrome oxide rods in a patented spray
unit.This provides much higher particle-to-particle bonding.
It also can create a thicker ceramic coating (up to 0.125” or
3.175mm) while maintaining outstanding deposit efficiency.
8. The Last Steps
Final assembly occurs in our isolated
precision spindle room. Afterwards,
each spindle runs for a minimum of
eight hours on specially designed test
stands.
This assures that quality tests are
performed at various speeds and
temperatures.
