CE
We are registered in the EU as Notified Body 0494 according
to EMC directive 2004 / 108 / EC.
CB
The CB Scheme of the IECEE enables you as manufacturer
or distributor to get faster and easier access to international
markets. With a CB certificate and the corresponding CB
test report you can acquire national test marks from other
CB member states easier and at lower costs.
SLG is acknowledged CB test laboratory and national certifi-
cation body and thus authorized to perform the required tests
according to IEC standards and issue CB certificates.

Our EMC laboratory is listed by the U. S. Federal Communica-
tions Commission (FCC) under registration number 883849.
Canada
We are listed by the Industry Canada Certification and

2. Electromagnetic compatibility
Electromagnetic compatibility, short EMC, describes the
capability of a device to work properly in an electromagnetic
environment without itself causing electromagnetic inter-
ferences which are unacceptable for other devices present
in this environment.

Standardization work
By participating in various standardization bodies and working
groups we keep up to date with the latest developments in
testing, certification and standardization.
EMC tests on vehicles
Our EMC laboratory is designated by the German Motor Trans-
port Authority (KBA) as Technical Service Category A (KBA-P
00030-01) and thus, authorized to perform tests which form
the basis for granting EC type approvals (e1) and UN ECE type
approvals (E1) as well as tests according to national road traffic
regulations. On the basis of our test reports the approval authority
grants the corresponding type approvals. Bases for testing are,
amongst others the well-known EC directives 97 / 24 / EC and
72 / 245 / EEC as amended by 2009 / 19 / EC and UNECE-R10.
In the motor vehicle sector we test electrical and petrol powered
two-, three- and four-wheeled vehicles and their components.
Furthermore, we perform tests on EUB (automotive components),
amongst others according to ISO 7637, ISO 11452, CISPR 12,
CISPR 25 as well as OEM specifications and factory standards.
For railway vehicles and equipment for railway environment as
well as their components we provide EMC tests, e. g. according to
EN 50121-x, EN 50155 and requirements of the Deutsche Bahn.
In the field of aircraft components we perform tests according to
MIL, RTCA DO 160 and test plans (QTPs).

Radio testing
For the dynamically-developing field of radio applications
including SRD, WLAN, RFID, etc. we perform EMC and radio
tests according to ETSI standards, e.g. within the context of the
R&TTE directive and for the North American market according
to FCC rules.
Required approvals can be realized in cooperation
