- 2. What does consent mean? • consent is asking someone whether they would like to take part in something or not. For example you ASK for consent, when ASKING whether a friend would like a hug • The important part of consent is ASKING and LISTENING/SEEING to the persons response. • Remember: you DO NOT have to consent to anything you feel uncomfortable with, YOUR BODY , YOUR RIGHTS

What does boundaries mean? • Boundaries show someone what they are comfortable and not comfortable with doing, • This could be physical boundaries: so some people like hugs, and some do not • What are your boundaries?.. Everyone is different, as some people like hugs, and some people prefer handshakes or high fives. • It is important to always ASK for consent

What can I not consent to? • not consent to voting, under the age 16 • Not drive a car or work full time • not consent to taking part in any activity with adult that makes them feel uncomfortable, including inappropriate touching • It is NOT consent when someone bribes (gives a gift) or pressures you into doing something you are not comfortable with • Talk to a trusted adult or helpline, if you are worried about something happening in your or your friends life.

Lets Get Creative • What are your boundaries? • Using the body template or drawing a picture of yourself- in the picture… • write/draw down what makes you feel safe, e.g. I like hugging my pet, or waving hi to a friend, • and then outside of the body template write/ draw down 5 trusted adults you can talk to, if you feel unsafe/ uncomfortable
