This was a group project that was a lot of fun. There was a lot of research done between all four of us and I felt it came out excellent. I learned a lot and made a couple of new friends/ contacts by completing this project.
2. A.E.S. Society (Audio Engineering Society)
A.E.S. is an audio technology
organization founded in New York City
1948; where the first meeting was held

BMI was founded in 1939 originally by thinkers who wanted to represent songwriters in genres like jazz blues and
country. BMI’s headquarters is located in New York and operates on a non-profit making basis and is the largest music rights
organization in the U.S. BMI protects the public performances of artists music.
BMI’s goal is to protect the public performances of artists music. To achieve this goal, BMI has taken a stance as the
bridge between songwriters and business organizations that want to play their music publicly. To date, BMI represents 14
million musical works created and owned by more than 900,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers.
4. S.P.A.R.S. Society (Society of Professional Audio Recording Services)
SPARS’s is a non-profit association
founded in 1979, dedicated
upholding high standard/ quality
studio craftsmanship and recording
techniques.
Goal: SPARS’s goal is to advance
the education in the business of
recording for professionals as well
up and coming students.
5. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is the trade organization
that supports and promotes the creative and financial vitality of the major music
Companies. Nearly 85% of all legitimate recorded music produced and sold in
the United States is created, manufactured or distributed by RIAA members.
To support their mission, RIAA protects the intellectual property and First
Amendment rights of artists and music labels. RIAA also certifies Gold, Platinum,
multi-Platinum, Diamond sales and streaming awards.
