2. On January 26th 2015, we
were at Karachi to
receive my dad from the
airport. He bought a
SLR Camera for us and
this is the first photo I
took from the camera.
“Time flies over us, but
leaves its shadow
behind.”
- Nathaniel
Hawthorne
3. My sister and I have been
practicing. And this is my
first good moon
photograph in the night
sky. It was cold and foggy
that night, so it took me a
while to take this properly
as I was shivering in the
cold despite wearing 2
sweaters.
“Three things cannot be
long hidden: the sun,
the moon, and the
truth.”- Buddha
4. I was visiting my friends
at their college, hanging
out with them in the
garden area. It was
spring time and there
were many beautiful
flowers around the
campus. This one in
particular caught my eye
and instantly a snap of it
on my phone.
“There are always
flowers for those who
want to see them.” –
Henri Matisse
5. We went to a friend’s
house for Milad-Un-
Nabi. As I was getting
bored sitting in one
place, I starting staring
at their garden and my
God it was beautiful so I
took out my camera and
took this photo.
“After women, flowers
are the most lovely thing
God has given the
world” – Christian Dior
6. My cousin’s wedding was on
that day, so naturally endless
photographs being taken
everywhere. I saw the
groom’s sister standing quite
far from me. I took a picture
of her and the outcome
showed that she was giving a
filmy pose when really she
had no idea that I took the
photo.
“The health of the eye seems
to demand a horizon. We are
never tired, so long as we can
see far enough.” – Ralph
Waldo Emerson
7. Since I live in Larkana,
Mohenjo-Daro and the
airport is about half an hour
away. I went there in March
to receive my aunt who was
visiting for the first time in 8
years. When we reached the
airport, the flight was
delayed by an hour and a
half. So we went there to wait
for her arrival. The sun
looked amazing and
Mohenjo-Daro looking
magnificent in its ancient
historical way.
“There's never one sunrise
the same or one sunset the
same.” - Carlos Santana
8. This was taken on a such a
day that started to be very
hot and then these darks
clouds are surrounding the
sky and endless raining
began. It rained for 2 hours
straight and there was no
electricity during this
whole time.
“Try to be a rainbow in
someone’s cloud.” Maya
Angelou
9. As if it never rained
yesterday ,the weather
went to the same way it was
before. Not a single black
cloud in sight and the
ground completely dried
up.
“A day without sunshine is
like, you know, night.” -
Steve Martin
10. I took this photo when we
went to Karachi to see my
uncle’s new apartment.
That’s him on the left. My
dad in the middle and my
paternal grandmother on the
right. My grandmother is
considered a fashion icon for
her age. No old lady dresses
like her or struck a pose
whenever a camera is
pointed at her. She created
herself to be the coolest
grandmother ever.
“Life isn’t about finding
yourself, it’s about creating
yourself” – George Bernard
11. This was made when my
dad was teaching us how
to use top. All of us got a
glimpse of my father’s
childhood and the fun
he used to have as a kid.
(I tried to rotate the video
so you could see it better
but I couldn’t so, sorry for
the inconvenience.)
“Childhood means
simplicity. Look at the
world with the child's eye
- it is very beautiful.”
Kailash Satyarthi
12. This is Kauser. She is baby
sis no.6 (Long story). She is
only 2 year s old and can
talk already and knows
how to open a Smartphone
and take selfies. I just had
to capture this moment
and show everyone how
advanced this generation is
in technology .
“It has become appallingly
obvious that our
technology has exceeded
our humanity.” -
Albert Einstein
13. This photo is of our new
house and was taken from
the old one. We are 2
separate families. One
having 8 members and our
family having 9 members.
Since it still being built, we
are temporarily living
elsewhere until it is
completely. Just waiting for
it to be ready has gotten
the entire family excited.
“It is not the beauty of a
building you should look
at; its the construction of
the foundation that will
stand the test of time.”
- David Allan Coe
14. I was spending my last
Ramadan in Medina (2014),
so every year my dad’s office
would invite its employees to
Iftar at a 5 star hotel. My
sister and I went with our
father and no one would
mind since we practically
grew up in front of them. So
we’re at Crowne Plaza Hotel,
waiting for the azaan, I saw
this flower and I just had to
take a picture. It was unique
and I loved the texture of it.
“Flowers... are a proud
assertion that a ray of beauty
out values all the utilities of
the world.”
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
15. This is a picture of King
Fahd’s fountain at Red Sea
on Corniche Road, Jeddah,
Saudi Arabia. I took it
when we went to Jeddah for
the last time before moving
permanently back to
Pakistan. It was the best
trip I ever had. And I
definitely miss seeing this
and Jeddah.
“Wherever you go, go with
all your heart.”
