- Assisting in the implementation of NFA, 84 of 1998: Assist in the licensing activities; evaluate
enquiries received, Dispatch licence application forms and guidelines, Record/register and
evaluation license application. Conduct site inspection, provide technical advice and report monthly
statistics. Monitoring; monitor compliance and non-compliance with regard to NFA, 84 of 1998,
investigate non-compliance and aggression.
- Assisting in the implementation of NVFFA, 101 of 1998: Assisting and provide support to FPAs:
Organizing and facilitating the establishment of FPAs, evaluation of registration forms and provide
technical advice. Facilitating capacity building for registered FPAs, with Collate fire stats, with
Conducting site visits for Fire breaks and exemptions. Make recommendations for exemptions on Fire
breaks and send application to National Office.
- Promotion of the legislation: Identify target audience and participate in development of awareness
campaign plan, assists in organizing awareness sessions and in facilitation and presentation of the
provision of both legislations. Participate in Career exhibitions as part of scarce skills promotion.
- Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) Commentary: commenting on the EIA. EIA site visit for
verification. Record issued comments. Draw-up suggestions for recommendations.
- Nursery Management: seedling weeding and weeding. Seed collection. Seeds propagation.
