- Working to collect and distribute sanitary products for homeless people in

- Successfully fundraised for local Manchester charity Emmeline’s Pantry
Parlour by selling cupcakes
- Aided in creating craft products to be sold for charity at Reclaim the Night
- Distributed flyers and verbal information about the charity to students and staff
on University Campus.
- Excellent communication skills needed for conveying accurate information
verbally and quickly to passing students and staff.
2015-2016 General Secretary of English Literature Society (LitSoc)
- Act as second command on a large committee of 21 members, aiding my
president in overseeing all activities and team members.
- Responsible for taking meeting minutes and all administrative responsibilities
including recording absences and managing the society diary.
- Responsible for collating all relevant information and distributing information
to team members.
- Responsible for creating monthly newsletter advertising events hosted by
LitSoc and by SALC (School of Arts, Languages and Cultures).
- Thinking creatively about hosting events, making attractive flyers and
engaging social media posts.
- Sourcing photographs and information, writing and editing posts for our social
media pages.
- Responding quickly to questions or issues posed to the society by taking

- Contributed to design and content of EAC first year handbook.
- Aided in organisation of End of Year Ball for over 150 students, both as Peer
Mentor and member of LitSoc committee on the EAC Ball Committee.
2015-2016 Writer and Contributor to The Tab
- Regular contributor to the University of Manchester’s Tab group
- Authored several articles and contributed to multiple group pieces.
- Authored an article in which I interviewed students at a Reclaim the Night
placard painting session, asking why they believe the movement for safety on
the streets is important.
