To whom it may concern:
I am writing this letter in response for a letter of recommendation for Felicia Fernandez.
First, let me introduce myself. I am Lisa L. Martin, an adjunct instructor in the Business
Department at Virginia College.
I have known Mrs. Fernandez for the past year as her advisor at Texas Tech University. As a
nontraditional student, Felicia completed an Associate degree while working fulltime at the State of
Texas within the Health and Human Services Commission in Houston, Texas for the past seven
years and raising her family. Mrs. Fernandez’s practical insight into the fields of human service as
well as her real-world experience sets her apart from her counterparts.
I have worked with Mrs. Fernandez for the past year and a half as she completes her Bachelor
degree to expound her professional career with the State of Texas. This is a lifelong goal for Felicia
which she has been diligently pursuing for the past year which working fulltime. Her dedication to
this goal will be fulfilled December 2015 when she graduates from Texas Tech University with a
Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree. She has been a pleasure to advise and will be an
immediate success into the culture of your organization.
I encourage you to not to overlook this diamond in the rough. Mrs. Fernandez will be a definite
asset to your organization and its success in the future.
If you have any further question, please feel free to contact me by telephone at (806) 224-9263 or
