GOLDEN
RULES
• Authorised personnel only
• Terminal users are subjected to alcohol (breathalyzer) test
• Terminal users are subjected to COVID-19 protocol
• PPE is compulsory at any point within the terminal
• Cooking at the terminal or in the vehicle is strictly prohibited
• Maximum speed is 10Km/h
• Parking only on marked waiting areas
• No open flames
• No driving or standing below suspended load
• Drugs and alcohol is prohibited
• No weapons and firearms allowed
• All vehicles and equipment to maintain safe following distance
• Use of cellular phones is prohibited when driving
COMPLIANCE TO THE RULES ARE MANDATORY, REFUSAL TO
ADHERE WILL BE MET WITH REFUSAL TO FUTURE ENTRY

MCT operates under Mozambican law.
Breaking the law means MCT as a company, as well as
individuals can be prosecuted, fined and even jailed.
In terms of the law, health and safety representatives are
elected by the workforce. They are the spokespersons
for all health and safety issues

must be reported, no matter how minor.

INJURIES AND TREATMENT
PROCEDURE WHEN YOU HAVE AN INJURY
• Report to your Supervisor.
• Report to the safety office and then follow
up with International SOS or the site medical
centre.
• If further medical treatment is required,
transport will be provided to closest medical
facility or return home for treatment.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE
In an emergency refer to the site specific
process for raising the alarm.
• Do not disturb the scene of a serious
accident unless required to render first
aid.
• Give this information: Name, location,
type of incident, number of casualties
and state of casualties. Stay on phone or
in contact.
• All MCT employees and Contractors have
random alcohol and drug tests. Every
employee must have a breath test before
work
• Any blood alcohol reading above 0.00% is
regarded as a positive result.
