This document is from a class on academic reading and writing styles taught by Mg. Fabiola Cando at Cotopaxi Technical University. [1] It discusses the different reading styles including skimming, scanning, in-depth reading, extensive reading, and intensive reading. [2] Examples are provided to illustrate when each style would be used, such as skimming when initially looking through many novels to choose one to read for a class. [3] Students then practice identifying examples of the different reading styles.
