ACADEMIC PERIOD: May 2022- September 2022
FECHA DE ELABORACION: Junio 1 - 2022
This portfolio is made with the purpose of presenting the knowledge acquired in the English course. The
objectives of this course were to develop skills, abilities and knowledge, as well as to acquire the
competencies to achieve the proposed goals. During this semester I was able to learn about the rules used
in the English language. The techniques and information presented by the teacher helped me to improve
my professional preparation and performance as a student

The advantages of engaging students in portfolio development have been
extolled in a number of sources (Brown &Hudson,1998).

WHAT IS PORTFOLIO?
A portfolio is a purposeful collection of student work that exhibits the student’s efforts, progress and achievements in one or more areas. The
collection must include student participation in selecting contents, the criteria for selection, the criteria for judging merit and evidence of student
self - reflection. (Paulson, Meyer1991)
THE IMPORTANCE OF A PORTFOLIO
A portfolio is a compilation of a student's work where it explains teaching goals, includes examples of work produced for courses and evidence of
teaching progress. It is useful for some reasons. It helps to understand what has happened in the classroom over months. More over it can provide
valuable evidence such as syllabus, lectures, assignments, exams, classwork, group activities, and anything that demonstrates a student's teaching
work. Developing a portfolio helps the student to identify his /her skills and outcomes. There are some phases to make a portfolio such as
organization and planning, collection and reflection. In the first phase, the student organizes the time and what kind of material he or she will
choose. In the second phase, the student collects and organizes any information according to criteria and standards identified for evaluation. Finally,
in the third phase the student makes a reflection about what he or she learned, and the subject’s goals that he or she reached.F BOLÍVAR

A portfolio is a purposeful collection of student work that exhibits the student’s efforts, progress and achievements in one or more areas. The collection must include student participation in selecting contents, the criteria for selection, the criteria for judging merit and evidence of student self - reflection. (Paulson, Meyer1991) THE IMPORTANCE OF A PORTFOLIO A portfolio is a compilation of a student's work where it explains teaching goals, includes examples of work produced for courses and evidence of teaching progress. It is useful for some reasons. It helps to understand what has happened in the classroom over months. More over it can provide valuable evidence such as syllabus, lectures, assignments, exams, classwork, group activities, and anything that demonstrates a student's teaching work. Developing a portfolio helps the student to identify his /her skills and outcomes. There are some phases to make a portfolio such as organization and planning, collection and reflection. In the first phase, the student organizes the time and what kind of material he or she will choose. In the second phase, the student collects and organizes any information according to criteria and standards identified for evaluation. Finally, in the third phase the student makes a reflection about what he or she learned, and the subject’s goals that he or she reached.F BOLÍVAR STATE UNIVERSITY.
