 Kiling National High School
Need for the project

         In our school, Kiling National High School, many
students throw their garbage in just one garbage can without
separating the BIODEGRADABLE wastes from the NON-
BIODEGRADABLE ones. As a concerned student, I realized that
these habit must be stopped.

         These kind of unlawful doings of throwing garbage may
cause some Environmental Problems such as pollutions and
global warming. So, I decided to plan a service project which is
to educate my fellow students the proper Waste Management
and it’s advantages and disadvantages.
Goal


                      The aim of my project
       is to educate my fellow students the
       Proper Way of Segregating Wastes
       and so as to help lessen the
       environmental problems specifically
       the Pollution and the Global
       Warming.
Project Activity




                             To achieve my goal of helping lessen the
       causes of pollution and the global warming which is through
       teaching my schoolmates the proper way of segregating wastes.
I decided to use sacks as a substitute for
garbage cans, wherein each one of them was labeled as
BIODEGRADABLE and NON-BIODEGRADABLE.
As   a    result,  the
students have followed what we have told
them.
                  They have learned how
to segregate waste properly and now, we
can help lessen the causes of some
Environmental Issues.

                   And the sacks were still
imposed on some parts of the school and
the students still continue throwing their
trashes on it.

Step by Step Planning
1.   I have thought first, of a better way on how to lessen the environmental
     problems in our school, because the students are not that disciplined in their
     Waste Management.

2.   I prepared all the materials needed for This   Project.
3.       We Conduct an Orientation to our fellow students and teach them
the proper way of segregating our wastes..
4.     We have placed the Labeled Sacks on the different areas of our
              school.

The Result
               After my very simple but beneficial project, my fellow students now throw
   their garbage properly based on their characteristics, if it is BIODEGRADABLE or NON-
   BIODEGRADABLE. I can now help lessen some Environmental Problems and most
   specially make our school, Kiling National High School more clean.

               I am not the only one who benefit My Project, but also the whole school
   community. As a wondrous outcome, not only waste are saved and thrown but also
   students like me can help protect our environment.
