Mission Statement
I believe nursingisthe processof providinghigh-qualitycare to all individualsinneed. I will utilize the
nursing processinginorder to provide thorough and effective patientcare. I plan to extendmy
nursing practice to those within the community. I will protect my patient’sautonomy, as well as
accept their culture,background, and person withoutjudgement. I understand that as a nurse, I am
an integral elementofthe team who coordinates nursingcare for the patient. I will strive to utilize a
multidisciplinaryapproach inorder to achieve a collaborative effortin addressingall aspects ofmy
patient’sneeds.
The nurse has three basic rights; human rights, legal rights, and professional rights. I will maintain
these rights, as well as use nursingjudgementand patient educationto provide continuousquality
care to my patient. I will incorporate knowledge,skills,andattitude into my daily practice. I believe I
must continuallybuildand strengthenmy nursingskillsand knowledge in order to provide the best
quality care and meetall needsof my patients. I will continue the learningprocess through constant
evaluationof evidence basedresearch,guidance from co-workers,and expandingmyeducation.
I will accept constructive criticismfrom my peersand supervisorsin order to improve my nursing
practice and patient outcomes. I am willingto accept a leadershiprole,wheneveritmay be
requested. I will understandpoliciesand proceduresof the facility inorder to ensure safetywithinmy
practice.
I believe Ihave a responsibilitytobe an integral aspect of my patient’s care. I believe thisincludes
supportingtheir involvementintheirown care as well as familyinvolvement. I will encourage and
support my team membersin order to ensure future health care needsof societycan be met.
