1. Duties and Accomplishments: United States Air Force: Aircraft/Jet Engine Maintenance Technician (1986 to
1996)
Trained, supervised, and led numerous two to six member maintenance crews responsible for
troubleshooting malfunctions and performing maintenance on United States Air Force Fighter aircraft
and engines.
Led a six member Jet Engine overhaul crew responsible for performing organizational level and
overhaul maintenance on all Pacific Air Forces F110-GE-100/129 F-16 aircraft engines.
Performed field level systems maintenance on F-15C/D aircraft and F100-PW-100 jet engines assigned
to the 12th
Fighter Squadron/18th
Fighter Wing.
Managed the 12th
Fighter Squadron’s Aircraft Cannibalization program for two years.
Monitored and updated the status of all AOGand back-ordered components for cannibalized aircraft.
Ensured all replacement components and materials were ordered with the appropriate priority.
Performed field level maintenance on A-10 aircraft assigned to the 25th

Mastered a large quantity of complex technical data to include aircraft system and jet engine operating
principles, inspection procedures, overhaul concepts, component assembly and removal and
replacement procedures, troubleshooting procedures, and materials handling and supply processes.
Conducted research and analysis of United States Air Force and Department of Defense Maintenance
Instructions, Directives, and approved manufacturers’ technical data maintenance and supply policies
and procedures,
Employed organizational and problem solving skills, recognized and established maintenance priorities,
and coordinated the activities of severaldifferent support agencies to return aircraft and engines to
service in the shortest time possible.
Accessed severaldifferent computer data bases and used a variety of applications to order and track
material usage,conduct technical research,document maintenance actions, and to input information
used to track recurring events and deadlines.
Ensured all maintenance procedures, inspection and test results, and part and serial numbers of all major
aircraft and engine assemblies and components were accurately documented.
Organized the maintenance records for all completed aircraft engines in accordance with established
rules and procedures and presented them to the proper authorities for review, signature, and filing.
Ensured that all aircraft maintenance documents were accurately completed and organized in
accordance with established rules and procedures and presented to the proper authorities for review,
signature, and filing.
Conducted records audits on assigned aircraft. Reconciled aircraft and engine records with data base
information. Tracked aircraft and engine performance trends, delayed discrepancies, engine trim data,
and all scheduled maintenance actions, periodic inspections, and time-change items. Updated
maintenance action, periodic inspection, and time-change item schedules.
Earned three separate Special Experience Identifiers by voluntarily enrolling in and completing special
correspondence courses.
Received a $7,000.00 cash award for developing new and improved troubleshooting procedures for the
F100-PW-100 F-15C/D engine.
