This document contains graphs and analysis of corporate tax rates over time in various countries including the US. It shows that the median US corporate tax rate has slowly declined but not as much as other countries, with the effective tax rate for the bottom 25% of US companies dropping more significantly. International tax rates have decreased more substantially as countries compete on lowering corporate taxes. There are also greater variations in effective tax rates within industries in the US compared to differences between industries.
