Information Security veteran Ryan Kazanciyan latest in string of
industry experts to join Tanium
MAY 6, 2015, EMERYVILLE, CA -- Tanium, the company that has redefined
security and systems management, today announced the appointment of Ryan
Kazanciyan as Chief Security Architect. Ryan brings over a decade of experience to
Tanium, most recently serving as technical director and incident response functional
lead at Mandiant (acquired by FireEye in 2013.)
In this newly created position, Ryan will keep Tanium on the cutting edge of security
research, analyzing the latest tools and tactics leveraged by the ever-growing array of
threat actors – from advanced nation-state adversaries to criminal gangs and
hacktivists – and conducting research on emerging forensics analysis techniques,
Indicators of Compromise (IOC) and incident remediation strategies. This deep
industry knowledge will be built into the Tanium Endpoint Platform to accelerate
product innovation and build new capabilities for detecting, containing and
remediating incidents across millions of endpoints within seconds.

Kazanciyan has over a decade of experience in incident response, forensic analysis
and security assessments. Prior to joining Tanium, Ryan oversaw investigation and
remediation efforts at Mandiant, a FireEye company, partnering with dozens of
Fortune 500 organizations impacted by targeted attacks and breaches. Ryan is a
frequent presenter at industry conferences and has taught classes on incident response
and forensics for corporate security teams and federal law enforcement. Ryan is also a
co-author of “Incident Response and Computer Forensics,” 3rd Edition (2014).
