Visitor Operation Manager June 2016 to Nov 2016
Sacrewell is a small farm attraction based on the outskirts of Peterborough situated along the A1. It is
visited by over 100,000 visitors a year. I joined earlier in the summer and my role was to oversee all the Visitor
Experience team, Retail staff and Events Manager.
As soon as I arrived I ensured a full activity programme was introduced for the summer holidays and recruited
key casual staff to enable this to happen. In my time at Sacrewelll I was also instrumental in the centre achieving
VAQAS, creating new H&S systems, creating marketing, implementing a major staff management database, and
budget forecast database. I worked well with all my team to ensure full delivery of summer and half term events
and to ensure a great customer experience was delivered. I also introduced a new survey monitoring system to
gather customer data, something never done on the same scale previously.
I have also attended meetings on behalf of Sacrewell to the Peterborough Tourism group which is newly set up.
I also produced an extensive 2017 budget and created a comprehensive events programme. Unfortunately due to
a substantial budget deficit I have been laid off from the end of November 2016 and I am actively looking for
employment, hopefully in the tourism attraction industry.
Key Achievements:
Produce multiple posters, leaflets banners and adverts
Produced road signage for the site and developed a deliveries entrance away from public entrance.
Manage a team of 10 people to deliver great customer service (create rota’s and work schedules)
Create PDR’s with all my team and set realistic targets
Develop daily activity programmes (for Summer and Half Term)
