How Long Is Your
Program!
Scheduling too long
of a program for a
daycare is a mistake
many event coordinators
make. It’s important to
remember the age and
attention spanned of the
children. In many cases,
the children may be
looking at the show right
before nap time when
their bodies are ready to
wind down.
Even if your event is
“Entertainment Only”,
your children will have
been sitting for awhile
before the show starts. If
you add snack time,
bathroom time, and/or
storytime, the length of
the event increases
dramatically.
Bottom line:
The ideal length for a
daycare show should be
35 with a maximum of
45 minutes.
This will keep the
children’s attention
spanned and the pace
of the day going.
