diseases and treating animals, recording information in the online shelter program,
documenting treatments and medications in animals’ records, scanning animals for
microchips and calling the animals’ owners, filling prescriptions, drawing blood
from animals and running various tests

• Since being promoted to lead triage technician within 4 months of working at
McKamey, I am now responsible for all of the aforementioned tasks, and also
assisting in designing the monthly work schedule, supervising and leading the other
veterinary technicians, opening and locking up the building, loading the
crematorium, deciding the diagnoses for diseases, administering more advanced
tests and treatments for animals

2. Undergraduate Research Assistant September 2015 to May 2016
• After being selected out of a pool of various student applicants, I was responsible for
organizing, administrating, and analyzing the data for a sponsored research project.
I studied the effects of various housing types and feeding a yeast probiotic
supplement on the growth, performance, behavior, and health of 40 Holstein Dairy
Calves. I recorded data daily, entered the data in Microsoft Excel, analyzed the data
using SAS (Statistical Analysis System), and then presented my results at the MSU
Honors Undergraduate Research Symposium in May 2016.
Mississippi State University Dairy Farm September 2014 to May 2015
• Milked 150 dairy cows twice a day, cleaned the milking parlor after milking, cleaned
the cows’ stalls, fed the calves and heifers, put fresh bedding in the calves’ hutches
weekly, and completed any other needed tasks
Pet/House Sitting May 2012 to Present
• I have several clients who hire me to stay at their houses and care for their pets
while they are away. Several of my clients have animals with special needs and/or
disabilities.
